Goldfish and Joe Fortes Seafood & Chop House Proprietor Bud Kanke loves to indulge his artistic side, too. "The First time I ever put an Acryllic brush in my hands was today under the watchful eye of Tiko Kerr - and painting on Jack Shadbolts easel, how great is that!! Thanks Tracey and Cori for setting me up and your guidance and inspiration." - Bud |

| A RALPH LAUREN DINNER |
| August 24, 2010 |
One of the many great things about food is the sheer diversity of ways in which you can have it (probably our favorite thing). Though we like our flavours West Coast and with Pacific Rim influences, we can’t help but wonder how it would be All-American and polo-branded. Here’s what Ralph Lauren had to say about the success of his latest restaurant in Paris: “Vera Wang called me – she was going to invite 10 people out to dinner – but even I couldn’t get her in.” The restaurant, aptly titled Ralph’s, offers classic American dishes including succulent tenderloin and strip steaks originating from Ralph Lauren’s own RRL Ranch in Colorado and exclusively served at his Parisian establishment. Can’t wait to try this one out. |

| EAT PRAY...STYLE? |
| August 17, 2010 |
| In the name of all things delicious and edible, we’ve always wondered how the silver screen manages to dole out identical looking eats, take after take. Here’s an inside look at exactly how that perfect plate of pasta came to be, namely in front of Julia Roberts in “Eat Pray Love”. |

| OUR PATIO HAS A NEW LOOK! |
| August 3, 2010 |
We have been collaborating with Vancouver artist Scott Sueme of Kids at Heart Creative to enhance the ambiance of our patio space. We are happy to report that the result is an inspiring, unique and timeless mural that has people talking! The artist's goal was to create a piece that had a sense of balance between his street art graffiti imagery and a more abstract ideology. Come in for a cocktail on the patio and check out our new art. |

| SUMMER SPLASH 2010 |
| June 16, 2010 |
| It was an extraordinary evening of fashion, summer bites, specialty cocktails and dancing. Summer Splash took place on Wednesday, June 16 from 7 - 9:30pm. We welcomed back designer Anna Kosturova as she revealed her latest collection of swimwear and resortwear. Mambo Hustlers performed a few numbers! The balloon prizes together with our silent auction and live auction (featuring a painting by Tiko Kerr which sold for an amazing $16,800) we raised $40,000 for the Vancouver Native Health Society. This is shaping out to be an iconic Yaletown event, so next year get your tickets early!!! |
